| WHAT WE DO |
FWT is actively involved in various activities related to community health services and other relief activities to help poors. FWT is running four Health Centers in a rural and underprevildged areas of Pakistan. These health centers are in Rawalpindi, Kashmir, Leyiah, and Mianwali and are providing free consultation by qualified doctor and medicines to the poor patients.
Friends’ Welfare Trust, has started a campaign of preparing and publishing health awareness booklets in Urdu on major diseases for general public.Six most important and common diseases including hepatitis, asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, angina ,heart attack and swine flu are discussed in detail in these booklets. The main aim of this campaign is to increase the health awareness in general public.
FWT introduce the free medical camps in Kuwait with the help of Society of Pakistani doctors in Kuwait(SPDK) under the umbrella of Kuwait Medical Association. Thousands of people are provided free consultation services by the specialists from every field. These camps are especially helpful for the community members who are unable to visit hospitals due to different reasons or cannot communicate with the local doctors due to their inability to speak and understand the arabic language
Friends’ Welfare Trust with the help of Ministry of Health ,Kuwait installed health education program for young Pakistani students in Pakistani Schools, aimed at providing general information to teenage girls and boys about the problems related to young age. Moreover the young boys and girls are educated about healthy habits like daily exercise and balanced diet through lectures and seminars.
Friends Welfare Trust(FWT) launched its latest project of a charity hospital with the aim to provide quality based basic health services to the under-privileged people of Rawalpindi. It is seven story hospital with all kinds of diagnostic facilities like, x-rays CT Scan, a modern lab,ultrasound a dialysis center, an operation theater, male and female ward. It have low cost and high quality healthcare facilities to the poor people of the underprivileged area of Rawalpindi.
FWT will also start Friends Ambulance Service for the inhabitant of Rawalpindi. Which will deliver free service to the community and will also help the community during any disaster or accident.
