Friends Welfare Trust is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization based in Kuwait with the aim to provide medical facilities to poor people in Pakistan, give health education to teenagers, serve the needy in any way possible. A series of devastating floods hit the rural areas in Pakistan past monsoon, washing away the homes and livelihood of thousands of people. Countless victims were left homeless and hopeless. In this time of need Pakistani citizens all over Kuwait stretched out helping hands by donating money to help the victims rebuild their lives. By the efforts of the Friends Welfare Trust, lacs of rupees were collected and delivered directly into the hands of the flood victims. Friends Welfare Trust set up a camp in Tarikhail, one of the majorly effected villages and successfully distributed 20 lac rupees among 530 flood victims families, hoping that it would bring them one step closer to leading the normal lives they once had.
