The Foundation Stone Laying ceremony of Friends Hospital Rawalpindi was held on Saturday, 1st May , 2010. The foundation stone lying was performed by the Chief Guest His Excellency Nawaf Abdul Aziz Alenezi, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait in Pakistan. His Excellency Mr. Iftikhar Aziz, the Pakistan Ambassador in Kuwait also attended the ceremony in addition to many other high ranking officers and dignitaries.
 The hospital is scheduled to be completed in about two years with an estimated cost of Pakistan Rupees 35 million. Once completed the hospital will be equipped to provide CT SCAN, X-RAY, ULTRASOUND,ENDOSCOPY, ECG, DENTAL TREATMENT, OPERTION THEATER, LABOUR ROOM and Normal Laboratory Services. It is also planned to have a Dialysis Unit in the hospital. Trustees and the Executive Council of Friend Welfare Trust ( FWT) thank Kuwait Ministry of Public Health, Kuwait Medical Association, Kuwaiti NGOs and all sections of the Pakistani Community (Political, Religious, Social and Business ) for their continuous moral and material support in achieving the aims and objectives of the Trust
